When Vikram Bhatt writes a horror movie, we expect it to be good. And right when we saw the trailer for the third movie in the 1920 franchise, ‘1920 London’, we were a bit excited. But we were a little skeptical about the treatment that this movie will get. Regardless, we went through the trailer, and here we are with 1920 London Trailer Review for all our dear Swudzians.
About 1920 London
1920 London is the third movie in the horror series following 1920 and 1920 Evil Returns. This installment is written by Vikram Bhatt and directed by Tinu Suresh Desai. The movie features Sharman Joshi, Meera Chopra and Vishal Karwal in primary roles. The movie is produced by Reliance Entertainment and will release in theatres this weekend.
From what appears in the trailer, the movie revolves around a couple living in London, who are living happily until what seems like ‘Black Magic‘ starts engulfing the husband and possessing him. The wife resorts to a spiritual healer from Mewar, Rajasthan. The wife and the healer together try to rescue the husband from the possession,
1920 London Trailer Analysis
Well, we put our honest opinion upfront. There were a lot of almost cliché Bollywood-Horror scares in the trailer, that might not scare a lot of people. You may even almost recognise the sound effects and the voice of the demon from practically any other Hindi Horror movie. Except for a few scenes like teleporting through a mirror, almost all the stuff was something that we would have already seen somewhere before. Or possibly we haven’t watched the movies from where the rest of the stuff is borrowed.
The horrifyingly terrible sound effects make you keep your hands on your ears, not because they are scary, but because you just don’t want to hear them. Visual effects of the movie seem decent and we cannot complain about that.
Regardless, this particular scene where the trailer ends is just AWESOME.
