–Achhe Bacche Udaas Nahin Hote…
–Aur Kaun Bolta Hai Aisa??
–Khushiyon Ka Vyapaari
This excerpt from the short film that we discuss today pretty much captures the feel of the entire film. First of all, we would like to apologize for the delay in the Short Film Recommendation for this week. We have been busy in development of a surprise for you all, which would soon be unveiled. Regardless, here we are with the Short Film of The Week : Khushiyon ka Vyapari.
About Khushiyon Ka Vyapari
Khushiyon Ka Vyapari is a 5-minute short film written and directed by Heena Dsouza. The film features Rani Jha, Princi Lakra, and Subhiksha in main roles. The movie is produced by John Dsouza and is published on the official YouTube handle of Humaramovie.
Story
The story opens with a little girl, who appears to be a princess, demanding an ice-cream. And when she gets sad on hearing that it is difficult for her to get ice-cream, her mother narrates her a story about a vendor of happiness, ‘Khushiyon ka Vyapari’. The story within a story focusses on the vendor convincing other characters that happiness is happiness, no matter how small it is. The story then turns back to the reality which is where the story takes the big twist. What that twist is, watch the movie to know.
Why to watch
As we just mentioned, the twist in the tail is one of the factors why you should watch the movie. There is a brilliant contrast between the world of stories, the world of imaginations and the world of reality. Along with having the contrast, the story also relates the mentioned worlds with similarities.
Some beautiful scene transitions are one of the high points, however, we must add a disclaimer that this movie is not the best in the technical sector. It is the concept and the soul of the short movie, that made it appear on the elite club of ‘Short of The Week’.
Watch the movie right here.
