The literal meaning of the word ‘Qirdaar‘ is Character. And that is what the short film of this week describes in its duration of about 5:30 minutes. While defending the allegations on our ‘character’ we tend to counter attack on the ‘character’ of the other person. And so do the characters in the short films. But how far do they go in the process? Read the post now.
Qirdaar is a 5-minute 30-second short film written, edited and directed by Amit Baweja. It features Rishi Verma and Priyanka Nath in main roles. The movie is produced by Wild Cat Movies and was released by Humaramovie on its official YouTube channel.
The story of the short film starts with a quarrel between what appears a married couple. The wife, Paoli(Priyanka) is packing her belongings to go to her father’s home in Kolkata. Her husband, Rishie(Rishi) tries to stop her. Upon confrontation, they both try to demean the other’s character. But it is towards the end that the actual characters unfold. There is a great twist in the tail of the tale. But to know what it is, you will have to watch the film, as we hate spoiling the fun.
Why to Watch
Before you watch the movie, we must inform you that it is not a perfect short film. Not the best camera work, and not the best direction. But it is the story and concept that wins it for the movie. Even an imperfect execution does not pull down the brilliance of the concept. Also, the use of the title to such perfection, or shall we say the proper nomenclature of the movie is the best part.
